The Masterly Netwerk presents Dutch textile and print designer Bert Timmermans / Workingbert. Paintings, drawings, photographs, flowers and plants are transformed into his digital designs. A historic painting of Huis Ten Bosch, the current residence of the Dutch King was translated into a grand wall covering. His designs result in vast wall tapestries, swaying curtains and Avant Garde fashion fabrics that are perfectly suited to his international clientele. The option of colour nuancing through digital printing offers this designer limitless possibilities. A collection of “unique-walls” for the Italian brand Moroso is absolutely number 1 on his wish list.

The Masterly Network presents Elise Luttik, a young designer intrigued by interactivity and dynamic of living space. Always with a feminine touch. In her designs she loves to play with transparency by using open structures and interesting materials like fabrics, rubber and transparent foil. Her transparent Prismania Chair is as much a piece of art as it is a chair. Virtually unnoticeable from various angles, but when you take a step back the chair reveals all colours of the rainbow to you by using the dichroic foil by ChameleonLab. Luttik is a great admirer of the installations by the Milanese Studiopepe. A meeting with Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto at Masterly ranks high on her wish list.

The Masterly Network presents Corine van Voorbergen, an intuitive designer working on the cutting edge between art and interior design. The materials she works with, a combination of epoxy, acrylic paints and pigments, take a long time to deform and harden. The work itself sets the pace and determines the final form. The result? Round abstract wall decorations with marbled effects and a visual depth that you can drown in. She would like to collaborate with the Italian designer Achille Salvagni Architetti in his gallery in Rome. Both share a proclivity for the use of deep bronze tones in their designs.

The Masterly Network presents Eigengijs, a design studio by the young and passionate Gijs Kuijpers. With a hands-on approach and single-minded mentality as his biggest assets, his furniture designs surprise the audience. Playfulness, tradition, and the process of making are the style elements that characterize his work. Elevating everyday furniture to a higher level is the final objective. Casting a glance on the future he embarks on new journeys to revalue existing furniture. As a progressive designer he would love to be discovered by Nina Yashar, the woman behind the Milanese design powerhouse Nilufar Gallery.

The Masterly Network presents VOUW: a Dutch design studio that creates designs centered on the relation between technology and people. “Chairwave”, an installation that stimulates social interaction in public spaces, was developed in close collaboration with the Amsterdam metropolitan area. During Masterly Milan this public seating area is on show, inviting people to engage in conversation. Especially in public spaces and neighborhood squares it’s an ideal means to encourage a sense of community and counteract loneliness. Following Amsterdam, Singapore and Beijing, VOUW is now keen to connect with Italian partners who design public spaces. They would love to present their “Chairwave” to the city of Milan and the Italian railways.

The Masterly Network presents Hans Endendijk, Dutch designer, carpenter, and inventor: ‘The technique used to make barrels can be applied to making unconventional furniture. This inventor creates waterproof furniture which will last a lifetime. No screw, no glue! His work, curved shapes made from solid wood, is often seen in private collections. Walking in the Triennale park in Milan last year during the Salone del Mobile, he imagined his chairs all over the green grass. Created respecting nature for nature.’

The Masterly Network presents House of Thol, an innovative Dutch design studio founded by Thomas Linssen and Jana Flohr, winners of a prestigious Dutch award (Dutch MKB Export Award in 2019) thanks to their ability to use design to make our daily life more sustainable.

House of Thol products make green living easier and more fun. They create natural solutions to help you keep your plants alive or your fruits and vegetables last longer. Take a look on their site, at “Waterworks”, for example, or Flower Constellations. For these designers, working with retail plant-selling companies in Italy would be a great opportunity, whereas they think that meeting Satoshi Kawamoto himself at their presentation in Milan next year would be fantastic!

He wishes the whole company of Fratelli Boffi will see the result of his Graduation Masterpiece in April 2021.

The Masterly Network presents Rademakers Gallery by Pien Rademakers: 'How sustainable is this! Hundreds of empty perfume bottles were collected for this stunning chandelier. Sustainability is one of the main pillars of the gallery and of the upcoming artist, Diederick Schneemann. With a diameter of 160 cm, the “Essence Chandelier” needs space. It would be a dream to see this chandelier in the entrance of the Prada Foundation in Milan, built by Dutch Architect Rem Koolhaas OMA. A luminous element in a fascinating concrete construction.’
